What is a Digital Signature Certificate?
A Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) is a secure digital key issued by a Certifying Authority. It is used to digitally sign electronic documents and authenticate identity for government portals like Kalanjiyam, Income Tax, GST and MCA.
Types of DSC
Individual DSC
Used for personal filings such as Income Tax and GST returns.
Organization DSC
Used for company directors and authorized signatories.

USB Token / Dongle
Digital signatures are stored securely in a USB cryptographic token (dongle). This prevents copying or misuse of the signature.
